Pre and-post trip field trips will be held in other parts of Ohio near some of the airports and offering access to exceptional Odonata sites like Cedar Bog. Local trips will focus on wadable stretches of the Little Muskingum River in the Wayne National Forest and on other Ohio tributaries as well visits to the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge and extensive post-mining lotic sites at either The Wilds or Jesse Owens State Park.

More details are available on the DSA website. The sign up page allows you register and pay for the DSA event, reserve and pay for box lunches and on campus housing, and also pay this year’s Ohio Odonata Society dues.

There will not be a separate OOS event in 2024, but a business meeting will be organized concurrent with the DSA event.
