Dancers

Ohio has 8 species in the Argia genus, which are members of the Coenagrionidae family. Most are common across Ohio. Seepage Dancer and Paiute Dancer are state-listed due to habitat requirements. All Dancers are increasing in the number of annual observations.Dancer Photo ID tip: Most male Dancers can be readily identified from a photo. Female Dancers are much more challenging to identify.
