2026 DSA Annual Conference: Dragonflies in the Southern Appalachians
24-28 June 2026
Hot Springs, North Carolina
The Dragonfly Society of the Americas will hold its 2026 annual conference in Hot Springs, North Carolina. The business meeting and workshops are scheduled for Saturday 27 June with planned field trips and outings beginning Wednesday 24 June and running through Sunday 28 June. There will be a reception to meet and greet on Friday evening 26 June. More details and registration link expected in March.

New Location: Shawnee Lodge & Southern Ohio Museum & Cultural Center in Portsmouth, Ohio
Located in the Shawnee State Forest, we will have the opportunity to witness large numbers of moth species and other nocturnal insects that will be attracted to our specially-installed light stations, all while under the mentorship of expert naturalists. Evening presentations will be hosted at the Southern Ohio Museum and Cultural Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. Be prepared to stay up late into the night, so come well-rested! Optional Friday and Saturday afternoon guided hikes will expose participants to the stunning beauty of the area, with additional sit-down classes. Information and registration.
