Trumbull County is located on the eastern border of Ohio and it is within the Glaciated Allegheny Plateau ecoregion. The NW 1/3 of the county is within the Lake Erie Watershed (See p. 12 in Ohio Coastal Atlas: Chapter 2 for a detailed watershed map). The rest of the county is within the Ohio River Watershed.
