Columbiana County is located on the NE border of Ohio. It lies entirely within the Glaciated Allegheny Plateau, with the terminal moraine roughly coinciding with the county’s southern border. Little Beaver Creek, an Ohio Wild and Scenic River, cuts across the county diagonally from the northern border to its mouth into the Ohio River, which borders several miles of the county’s SE corner.
